All Night Festival in which You Spend Time while Directly Feeling Great Nature of Hokkaido
Let’s Go to Summer Music Festival ~ RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL ~
Seven stages appear on the vast site in Ishikari, Hokkaido, only for 2 days in summer. Now, not only Hokkaido citizens but also rock & festival fans nationwide are every year looking forward to “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL” (hereinafter referred to as RSR). In 1999, it started as Japanese first full-scale all-night outdoor festival. One of attractive points of RSR is a lineup that enables you to witness the Japanese rock scene that has continued to evolve without fading, from veteran artists with a long career to up-and-coming young artists.
In talking about RSR, we would also have to refer to features of Hokkaido. The temperature difference between night and day makes you feel that you are in great nature away from the city. If spending time with a tent set up in the venue, you would think it was right to come all the way here. What is more, foods at stalls using ingredients from Hokkaido are superior!
While there are no detailed rules, you have to take care of yourself. Instead, you can be relaxed and feel at ease, unlike in everyday life. Music you listen to through the whole body while experiencing the grandeur of nature will be the best experience of the festival.
Points to enjoy RSR Part 1 ~ Experiencing Great Nature in Hokkaido ~
Located in the northernmost part of Japan, Hokkaido is attractive with its magnificent nature. You can feel the fresh air and quietness you cannot feel in the city. To spend time in the great nature, you must have warm clothes such as a heavy jacket. Although it is midsummer, the temperature may fall to around 10 degrees from late night to early morning. The sensory temperature may be even lower. You should prepare so as to wear clothes that match the weather without underestimating the nature.
Points to enjoy RSR Part 2 ~ Enjoy Summer Vacation Including Sightseeing ~
If you are staying in Tokyo or other cities, the application for official tour enables you to access the venue more easily. As various courses are available in the official tour, you can choose suitable one.
Or, if you have plenty of days before and after the festival, why don’t you enjoy sightseeing in Hokkaido? There are lots of delicious foods produced in Hokkaido and beautiful natural landmarks. Unlike humid and sultry cities, summer in Hokkaido is a comfortable and mild. Hokkaido is a popular sightseeing area also for Japanese people. Especially in summer, as many people visit there on vacation, you should book your air ticket early.
